# uptime 10:28am up 12:30, 1 user, load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00
... plus 497 days
... plus another 497 days
A Linux machine (100 MHz Pentium) I've been using for a nameserver has just rolled over the 497 day uptime counter twice:
$ datemath 'today - ( 497 * 2 )' 10/24/2002
I wonder what I was doing then that forced a reboot?
You're not the Unix Wiz for nothing. Congratulations.
I have a Windows NT server that just went past 400 days and one that refuses to run for more than 21 days at a time.
